All Saints Anglican Church Boys’ Choir
  • An all-male choir that has existed in East St. Kilda since the mid-Nineteenth century. Read more.
Assumption College
  • Catholic co-educational secondary day and boarding school in Kilmore, Victoria, known in the past to have had employed, and in some cases protected, abusive staff. Read more.
Bayswater Boys Home and Bayswater Youth Training Centre
  • A working boys’ home that was run by The Salvation Army, where a number of officers and staff members preyed upon vulnerable children who were in their care. Read more.
Beaumaris Primary School
  • The abuse epidemic at this school in the 1960s and 70s was a shocking and monumental failure and a microcosm of an education system that repeatedly failed to protect children. Read more.
Box Hill Boys Home
  • Shocking levels of physical and sexual abuse occurred at this institution throughout the 1950s, 60s and 70s. Read more.
Braybrook Primary School
  • Richard George Ross, who was a teacher and then principal at Braybrook Primary School, abused many children at this school. Read more.  
Cathedral College
  • An all-boys Christian Brothers school on Victoria Parade in East Melbourne that housed primary and secondary students from the 1960s through to the 1990s. Read more.
De La Salle College
  • An all boys school in Malvern for years 7 – 12 operated by the De La Salle Brothers. Read more.
Geelong Grammar School
  • A great deal of abuse took place at this prestigious private school, which operates across five campuses in Melbourne, Geelong and Timbertop near Mansfield. Read more.
Gippsland Grammar School
  • Prestigious Anglican school in Victoria’s east that in the past has harboured a number of abusers. Read more.
Heatherhill High School
  • A public school in Springvale South with a culture in the 1970s where female students were known to socialise in and out of school with male teachers. Read more.
Hillside Boys Home
  • State-run orphanage established in Wheelers Hill by the Victorian Government in 1959, where horrific abuse took place. Read more.
Horsham Technical School
  • One of five schools in Victoria’s Wimmera region that were among the 403 Victorian government schools named in civil compensation claims or redress applications in relation to historic child sex abuse. Read more.
Monivae College
  • Rightside has won our clients almost $10 million in total in suing Monivae, operated by the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart, for abuse that occurred from the 1960s until the late 1980s. Read more.
Salesian Colleges
  • Priests and teachers abused children at Salesian College in Chadstone and Salesian College (Rupertswood) in Sunbury. Read more.
St. Alipius Primary School
  • This boys’ primary school in Ballarat, operated by the Christian Brothers, was a nest of paedophiles across several decades in the 1950s, 60s and 70s. Read more.
St. James Parish
  • This parish that covered Melbourne’s suburbs of Gardenvale and Brighton was presided over by a notorious abuser, Father Ronald Pickering, from 1978 until 1993. Read more.
St. Joseph’s Boys Primary School (Malvern)
  • Run by the De La Salle Brothers from 1917 to 1993, this school harboured a number of predatory teachers. Read more.
St. Paul’s Home for Boys
  • Previously known as St Paul’s Boys’ Training Home and Seaside Garden Home, this orphanage was run by the Mission of St James and St John at Newhaven, Phillip Island. Read more.
Trinity Grammar School
  • This prestigious Kew private school harboured a number of abusive teachers in the 1970s. Read more.
Wesley College
  • We know that abuse occurred across Wesley’s Prahran and Glen Waverley campuses in the 1970s and 1980s. Read more.

  • Operated by the Jesuits, Xavier harboured a number of teachers and priests who abused children at both campuses in the 1960s, 70s and 80s. Read more.
