The Age has reported that the Victorian Education Department is facing a multi-million compensation bill over child abuse by convicted paedophile Robert Leonard Morris.
Morris taught in Victorian schools from the mid-1960s until 1980 and sexually abused many children. Rightside Legal is representing thirteen men who as boys were abused by Morris in primary schools at Ringwood and Cranbourne.
In addition to teaching primary aged children, Morris also coached junior sport and was an enthusiastic cub and scout leader for many years.
