Stephen Francis Farrell is a former Christian Brother and school teacher who was convicted of sexually abusing on three occasions going back to the 1990’s and most recently in 2018.
Farrell used his position as a Christian Brother, a teacher and sports coach to get access to, and abuse boys.
He was at the notorious St. Alipius Primary School in Ballarat with other abusive Christian Brothers.
Among other instances of abuse, Farrell was known to abuse boys in an enclosed ‘cubby’ he built at the back of the classroom.
Boys complained about Farrell but were ignored. Sadly, in some instances within the Christian Brothers, boys made these complaints about Farrell to other sex offenders.
