Father Guy Hartcher is a former member of the Vincentian Fathers (also called the Congregation of the Mission).

He was positioned at St Stanislaus College, Bathurst, NSW from 1971 to 1974.

In 1994, the Trustees of the Vincentian Fathers agreed to pay compensation out-of-court to a former student of St Stanislaus College for allegations of sexual abuse by Hartcher committed in 1971.

Hartcher was removed from his duties and made a layperson in 2004 but it was reported in the media in 2006 that a Father Guy Hartcher had conducted a funeral service in the last parish he was appointed to.

In 2014, it was reported that he was living in retirement at a home for Vincentian priests in St Vincent’s Parish in Ashfield, Sydney.

In December 2025 he was arrested and charged with using a carriage service to procure a child under 16 years for sexual activity and using a carriage service to send indecent material to a minor. He pled guilty.
