Brother Peter Swain was born on 20 November 1920.
He became a member of the Salesian Order on 15 August 1945 and was a teacher and assistant at schools operated by the Salesians from 1957.
During 1962-1965 Swain was a geography teacher, a sports coach and the head of the Sports department at Salesian College in Chadstone. He sexually abused boys on the school grounds in Chadstone.
At the time of his death in 2007, allegations of sexual abuse had been made against Swain.
