Rush was a sexually abusive member of the Marist Brothers. He worked in Marist Brothers schools in Victoria and Western Australia that had boarding houses in the 1960s and 1970s.
He offended in multiple schools.
There were complaints from victims and other students about his sexual abuse.
Rush was transferred rather than being kicked out after these complaints were made. Sadly, the Marist Brothers made the decision to keep Rush in the order, where he continued to offend, rather than report his abuse to the Police.
