Rightside Legal has successfully represented many former students who were abused by Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic school teachers including Peter Andrew Bartley.

Bartley was a teacher at St Scholastica’s primary school in Burwood in the 1990s. Bartley is known to have sexually abused three Grade 3 girls in his classroom.

Despite a police complaint being made at the time, Bartley was allowed to continue teaching for a further two decades and would go on to hold deputy principal and principal roles in two other schools, including Trinity Catholic School in Richmond.

Despite pleading guilty to offences against all three former students, Bartley was spared jail time, receiving a two-year suspended sentence.

No Win. No Fee.

Capped Pricing.

At Rightside we don’t have a string of expensive offices, dozens of partners or expensive marketing campaigns to fund. We limit the number of cases we take on, prepare your claim properly and fight hard for 100% of what your claim is worth.

We understand that our clients are often anxious and uncertain about the whole legal process. We’ll do our best to eliminate the uncertainties. We work on a No Win No Fee basis – that means we fund the litigation, and you only pay when we succeed. We also cap our fees to give our clients greater certainty.
