Fr Peter Phillip Creede was a priest with the Vincentian Fathers, including at St Joseph’s Catholic Church, Malvern.
Creede worked at St Stanislaus College in Bathurst, New South Wales, and then worked in parishes in:
- Southport (QLD)
- Wandal (QLD)
- Ashfield (NSW)
- Malvern (VIC).
Due to his role as priest, Creede was sometimes also responsible for religious instruction and other related tasks for local Catholic schools for parishes, including St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School, Malvern in the 1970s.
In 2013 the Melbourne Catholic Archdiocese told a Victorian Parliamentary enquiry that Creede had committed sexual offences in Melbourne.
The Royal Commission has also identified that between 1980 to 2015, 14 Vincentian priests were named as alleged perpetrators by 49 victims.
