Rightside Legal has successfully represented a number of clients abused by paedophile teacher Robert Leonard Morris.
Morris taught at Victorian Government school in the 1960s and 70s. He abused dozens of very young boys that we know of, between the ages of nine and 11, in classrooms, on school buses, in dorms on school camps.
Rightside won a settlement of $7 million in 2017 for a group of ten men who sued the Victorian Education Department. We have also represented a number of other clients against Morris.
Tragically, Morris was yet another paedophile teacher who was shuffled around the state by the Victorian Education Department to teach in different schools, in different locations, to be enabled to abuse more children rather than being held to account.
Morris was jailed in 2016 for a maximum six years, with a minimum of four behind bars, for abusing six boys at two schools in Cranbourne and Ringwood
He was also a Cub leader in Melbourne’s east.
